Cooking Instructions for Hot Honey Fried Chicken
    Marinate the Chicken
    1. Place the chicken in a large bowl. Add buttermilk, hot sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix everything well. Cover and refrigerate for at least two hours.
    Prepare the Flour Mixture
    1. Combine flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir until everything is evenly mixed and well combined.
    Heat the Oil
    1. Pour vegetable oil into a deep pan. Heat it to 350°F. Use a thermometer for better accuracy and safer frying results.
    Coat the Chicken Pieces
    1. Remove chicken from the marinade. Dredge each piece in the flour mixture. Press gently so the coating sticks nicely to every side.
    Let the Coating Rest
    1. Place coated chicken on a tray. Allow it to rest for ten minutes. This helps the crust stay crispy during frying.
    Fry the Chicken
    1. Carefully place chicken into the hot oil. Fry in small batches. Cook each piece for about twelve minutes until golden brown.
    Drain Excess Oil
    1. Transfer the fried chicken onto a wire rack. Let extra oil drip away. Avoid stacking pieces to keep them crispy.
    Make the Hot Honey Sauce
    1. Add honey, butter, chili flakes, cayenne, and vinegar to a saucepan. Heat gently and stir until smooth and glossy.
    Glaze the Chicken
    1. Drizzle the warm hot honey over the fried chicken. Coat each piece lightly. Add more sauce if you prefer extra sweetness.
    Serve and Enjoy
    1. Place the chicken on a serving platter. Garnish with extra chili flakes. Serve while hot for the best taste and texture.
