Cooking Instructions
    Make the Dough
    1. Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Add warm water and oil. Stir until a soft dough forms. Knead gently for five minutes until smooth.
    Rest the Dough
    1. Cover the dough with a clean towel. Let it rest for fifteen minutes. This helps the dough become soft and easier to shape before frying.
    Cook the Ground Beef
    1. Heat a frying pan over medium heat. Add the ground beef. Cook until browned. Drain extra fat. Add all seasonings and water. Simmer for five minutes.
    Divide the Dough
    1. Cut the dough into four equal pieces. Roll each piece into a round shape about six inches wide. Keep the thickness even for better cooking.
    Heat the Oil
    1. Pour enough oil into a deep skillet. Heat it over medium-high heat until hot. Test with a small dough piece. It should bubble immediately.
    Fry the Bread
    1. Carefully place one dough round into the hot oil. Fry each side for about two minutes until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
    Build the Taco
    1. Place one piece of fry bread on a serving plate. Spoon seasoned beef over the top. Add beans if using. Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly.
    Add Fresh Toppings
    1. Top with lettuce, tomatoes, olives, green onions, salsa, and sour cream. Serve immediately while the fry bread stays warm and crispy.
