Ingredients

  • 1 prepared vanilla sponge cake cut into cubes
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries sliced
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • 1 cup blackberries
  • 2 tablespoons berry jam optional
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish optional

Method

Cooking Instructions
    Prepare the Cream Filling
    1. Beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Mix well. Pour in the heavy cream and beat until thick, fluffy, and creamy.
    Wash and Prepare the Berries
    1. Wash all berries carefully under cool water. Dry them with paper towels. Slice the strawberries into thin pieces. Keep the other berries whole for pretty layers.
    Cut the Cake
    1. Slice the vanilla cake into bite-sized cubes. Make the pieces similar in size. This helps every serving have even layers and a soft texture.
    Build the First Layer
    1. Place half of the cake cubes into the bottom of the trifle bowl. Spread them evenly to create a flat base for the dessert.
    Add the Cream Layer
    1. Spread half of the cream mixture over the cake cubes. Use a spatula to smooth the surface. Cover every piece of cake with cream.
    Add Fresh Berries
    1. Scatter half of the strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries over the cream. Add a few small spoonfuls of berry jam if you want extra sweetness.
    Repeat the Layers
    1. Repeat the cake, cream, and berry layers again. Finish with the remaining berries on top. Make colorful patterns for a beautiful presentation.
    Chill Before Serving
    1. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least two hours. This helps the layers become soft and allows the flavors to blend together.
    Garnish and Enjoy
    1. Decorate with fresh mint leaves before serving. Scoop generous portions into dessert bowls and enjoy every creamy, fruity bite.
