Ingredients

  • 500 grams chicken breast cut into strips
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 cups vegetable oil for frying
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Method

Cooking Instructions for Tender Chicken Strips
    Prepare the Chicken
    1. Wash and pat the chicken dry. Slice each breast into even strips. Equal sizes help every piece cook perfectly and stay juicy.
    Make the Marinade
    1. Mix buttermilk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika in a bowl. Stir well until everything combines evenly.
    Marinate the Chicken
    1. Add chicken strips to the buttermilk mixture. Cover and refrigerate for at least thirty minutes for extra tenderness and flavor.
    Prepare the Flour Mixture
    1. Place flour and baking powder into another bowl. Mix gently with a spoon so the coating becomes light and crispy.
    Beat the Eggs
    1. Whisk eggs and milk together in a shallow bowl. The mixture helps the coating stick better to the chicken.
    Coat the Chicken
    1. Remove chicken from the marinade. Dip each strip in flour, then eggs, and finally flour again for extra crunch.
    Heat the Oil
    1. Pour oil into a frying pan. Heat it to medium-high temperature. The oil should reach about 175 degrees Celsius.
    Fry the Chicken Strips
    1. Carefully place chicken strips into the hot oil. Cook in small batches to avoid lowering the oil temperature.
    Turn and Cook Evenly
    1. Flip the strips after several minutes. Cook until both sides become golden brown and the inside reaches safe temperature.
    Drain and Serve
    1. Place cooked chicken strips on paper towels. Let excess oil drain before serving with your favorite dipping sauces.

    Notes

    • Marinate the chicken for at least thirty minutes.
    • Use fresh chicken for better texture.
    • Keep oil temperature steady while frying.
    • Avoid overcrowding the pan.
    • Double coating creates extra crispiness.
    • Let cooked strips rest briefly before serving.
    • Use a thermometer for safe cooking.
    • Season the flour mixture well.
    • Try adding cayenne pepper for gentle heat.
    • Serve immediately for the best crunch.
