  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries sliced
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup raspberries
  • 1 cup blackberries
  • 2 tablespoons lemon curd
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Method

Cooking Instructions
    Prepare the Lemon Cream
    1. Beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar, vanilla extract, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Mix well. Add heavy cream and beat until thick, fluffy, and creamy.
    Wash the Fresh Berries
    1. Wash all berries carefully under cold water. Dry them with paper towels. Slice the strawberries into thin pieces. Leave the remaining berries whole for colorful layers.
    Cut the Sponge Cake
    1. Cut the vanilla sponge cake into even cubes. Small pieces create beautiful layers and allow every serving to include cake, cream, and berries together.
    Build the First Cake Layer
    1. Spread half of the cake cubes evenly across the bottom of the trifle bowl. Make a flat layer so the dessert stays neat.
    Add the Lemon Cream
    1. Spread half of the lemon cream mixture over the cake. Smooth the surface gently with a spatula so every cake cube is covered.
    Add the Berry Layer
    1. Scatter half of the strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries across the cream. Add small spoonfuls of lemon curd between the berries for extra citrus flavor.
    Repeat the Layers
    1. Repeat the cake, lemon cream, and berry layers. Finish with colorful berries on top. Decorate with lemon slices and fresh mint leaves for a fresh look.
    Chill the Dessert
    1. Cover the trifle bowl with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least three hours. Chilling helps the layers set while blending the fresh lemon and berry flavors.
    Serve and Enjoy
    1. Serve the trifle cold using a large serving spoon. Scoop deep portions so every serving includes all the delicious layers.
